Be Our Guest Character Dining Review

Looking for a more upscale character dining experience? Be Our Guest (BOG) in Disney’s Magic Kingdom might be what you’re looking for! Taking place inside a beautiful castle, this is truly a memorable dining experience. However, it is pricy. So, is Be Our Guest worth it?

It’s always wise to have a reservation if you’re dining at a Disney restaurant. Many people say that reservations for BOG are hard to get, but I can find reservations whenever I look. Although they are harder to see during the holidays. You can book reservations up to 60 days in advance.

Meet the Beast

Be Our Guest is the only place to meet the Beast in Disney World, so this is a big deal. However, he only strolls around the dining room, so it’s a partial-character meal. The Beast doesn’t take photos with guests at their tables, but you can take a photo with him after dinner. He can be seen at lunch and dinner. One downside is that you can’t meet Belle, but you can meet her at Enchanted Tales with Belle in Magic Kingdom or the France pavilion in Epcot.

Vibes at Be Our Guest

The vibes at BOG are immaculate. There are three dining rooms themed to the film. The first is the Grand Ballroom, where the infamous scene of Belle and the Beast dancing takes place. This room is stunning, with beautiful chandeliers and paintings of cherubs on the ceiling. Fun fact: these cherubs are supposedly the faces of the children of the Imagineers who designed the restaurant. There are also long windows where you can see it snowing outside.

Some negative things about this room are that because it’s so iconic, it’s very popular, so it can get very loud, and the tables are very close together. Next, we have the West Wing. This room has a darker theme, dim lighting, purple walls, and raggedy curtains. Periodically, you hear thunder, and there’s a strike of lightning. Pay attention to the ripped portrait of the prince because every once in a while, it very quickly changes to the Beast. Some cons of this room are that you can’t see very well, and the thunder and lightning might scare small children. Finally, we have the Castle Gallery. As the name implies, this room is full of paintings. It also has a figurine of Belle and the Beast that spins in the middle of the room.

Cost of Be Our Guest

As I previously mentioned, BOG is costly. At this article’s time, lunch and dinner are $70 per adult (ages 10 and up) and $41 per child ( ages 3-9). Lunch is served from 10 AM to 2:55 PM, and dinner is served from 3 PM to 10 PM. Both are prix fixe meals, including an appetizer, an entree, and dessert. The menus are the same.

Food Options

The food is French-inspired, with options like escargot and roasted poulet rouge chicken. The French onion soup and filet mignon are popular. For dessert, you must try the grey stuff (it’s delicious!) The grey stuff is a mixture of cookies and cream cookies, vanilla pudding, and whipped cream. To view the full menu, check out this link

The general consensus is that the food at BOG is good but not worth the hefty price tag. As with most character meals, you’re really paying for the experience.

Is it Worth Visiting?

So, should you dine in the Beast’s castle? If you love Beauty and the Beast or want an experience, it’s worth eating here at least once. However, you’re looking for something with a more modest price and more character interaction. In that case, there may be a better place for you. If you want to meet Belle, Check out the attraction next door. Enchanted Tales with Belle.
