Crystal Palace Character Dining: Winnie the Pooh and pals from the Hundred-Acre Wood!

Character dining is a classic Disney experience for guests of all ages. Crystal Palace in Magic Kingdom has become one of the most popular character meals over the past several years.

During our last trip in June, we made a memorable trip over to see Winnie the Pooh and all of his Hundred Acre Woods friends!

Crystal Palace Inspiration

The restaurant is inspired by Victorian greenhouses of the 1800s, so guests can enjoy a flavorful meal surrounded by large windows that provide views of the Magic Kingdom. The interior is a large dining room with bright greenery and a banner welcoming you to the Friendship Day Celebration.

Crystal Palace Exterior

Due to its location in Magic Kingdom and the rare characters that you can’t often find roaming around the parks, Crystal Palace is incredibly popular and requires a reservation. Because of this, it is essential to try to secure your reservation as soon as possible.

If you’re worried about missing them while you’re at the buffet filling your plate, don’t worry! The characters are great at making sure they get to every table. If you’re lucky, you may even be able to interact with some of them more than once during your meal.

Also, during our last visit, we missed Winnie the Pooh. One of the great Cast Members walked us over to Pooh, where we got a photo before leaving. The Cast Members at Crystal Palace were great!

What kind of food is available at Crystal Palace?

Like many character dining restaurants, Crystal Palace is a buffet where you serve yourself.

Breakfast is served from 8:00 AM to 10:45 AM. Offerings include classic Disney breakfast foods such as Mickey waffles, bacon, eggs, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, and pastries. You can also get biscuits and gravy or have a fresh omelet made by one of Disney’s chefs. Nonalcoholic drinks are included, and alcoholic beverages can be added at an additional price.

Lunch is served from 11:00 AM to 2:55 PM, while dinner is served from 3:00 PM to 9:30 PM, though the food options for both meals are the same. You can help yourself to seasonal salads and vegetables, ravioli, mashed potatoes, prime rib, shrimp creole, fried chicken and gravy, and several delicious desserts! Like breakfast, nonalcoholic drinks are included, and alcoholic beverages can be added at an additional price.

And of course, we can’t forget about dessert. One of the best parts about a character buffet is the chance to sample a little of everything. Crystal Palace offers delicious desserts such as butterscotch pudding, seasonable cobbler, strawberry shortcake, and soft-serve ice cream.

If you’re concerned about specific dietary restrictions, let the host or your server know as you check in for your reservation. The Disney parks are fantastic at ensuring you can enjoy your meal and have options for everyone in your party, regardless of allergies and dietary needs.
